General Terms

All Around Cooling: This is a cooling distribution system located at the back of the refrigerator to ensure even cooling across all shelves and drawers.

Twin Cooling: The Twin Cooling Plus system is a technology that cools compartments separately to prevent unwanted odors from mixing and to keep food fresher for longer.

Power Cool / Power Freeze: With just the touch of a button, it quickly delivers extremely cold air to freeze or cool rapidly. Power Cool (located in the refrigerator) quickly chills food and beverages, while Power Freeze (located in the freezer) is perfect for freezing and making ice.

Spacemax™: The SpaceMax™ technology allows the refrigerator's walls to be much thinner by using high-efficiency insulation. This provides more interior space without increasing the external dimensions.

Digital Inverter: The Digital Inverter technology automatically adjusts the compressor speed based on cooling demand, reducing wear and tear for increased durability. It saves up to 50% energy, minimizes noise, and includes a 10-year warranty on the compressor. It is recommended for homes with solar panels.

Cooling Off Mode | OF OF, O FF, OFF OFF

If the display shows OF OF, O FF, OFF OFF, or scrolling temperature bars, the refrigerator is in Cooling Off Mode, sometimes called Demo Mode or Store Mode. Service is not required.

Steps to deactivate this mode are model-specific and can be found in the user manual. However, the most common method applies to control panels on the exterior front of the refrigerator, on the left side.

  1. Locate the two top buttons on the left side of the panel. On newer models, the top button on the right side of the panel is also required. However, we recommend trying it with just the two buttons first, as models requiring three buttons are less likely to enter Cooling Off Mode accidentally.
  2. Press and hold these buttons simultaneously for 5 to 8 seconds, until a chime sounds. This chime will sound different from the tone when pressing a single button.
  3. Wait a few moments to confirm that the display does not return to Cooling Off Mode. If it does, repeat these steps until the mode is successfully deactivated.

Demo Mode

  • Step 1 - Deactivate the lock by pressing and holding the "Door Alarm" button for three seconds.
  • Step 2 - Then simultaneously press and hold the "Fridge" and "Flexzone" buttons for 7 seconds or until the panel lights turn on and off.
  • Step 3 - Once the lights start flashing, immediately press the "Door Alarm" button to confirm the command.

What is an error code?

If the washer isn't working, you might see an error code displayed on the screen. Check the codes and instructions below and try the suggested solutions. If a code continues to appear on the screen, contact an authorized Samsung Service Center for further assistance.

4C, 4E, E1 (Issue: No water supply.)

  • Make sure the water taps are open.
  • Ensure the water hoses are not blocked.
  • Confirm that the water taps are not frozen.
  • Verify that the washer is operating with adequate water pressure.
  • Check that the cold water and hot water taps are connected properly.
  • Clean the mesh filter, as it may be clogged.
  • All buttons will be disabled for 3 minutes after the error codes appear.

5C, 5E (Issue: The water is not draining.)

  • Make sure the drain hose is not frozen or clogged.
  • Ensure the drain hose is correctly positioned according to the type of connection.
  • Clean the debris filter, as it may be blocked.
  • Ensure the drain hose is straightened toward the drainage system.
  • If the error code persists, contact a customer service center.

dC, dE (Issue: Washer operating with the door open.)

  • Ensure the door is securely closed.
  • Make sure no clothing is caught in the door.

OC, OE, OF (Issue: Water has overflowed.)

  • Restart after spinning.
  • If the error code persists on the screen, contact a Samsung Authorized Service Center.

Ub, UE (Issue: Does not spin.)

  • Ensure the laundry is properly distributed.
  • Make sure the washer is on a flat and stable surface.
  • Redistribute the load.

AC, AE (Issue: Check the communication between the main board and sub PBAs.)

  • Turn off the unit and restart the cycle.
  • If the error code persists, contact a Samsung Authorized Service Center.

DDC, ddC (Issue: The Add Door was opened without pressing Start/Pause (Hold to Start).)

This message appears if the Add Door is opened without pressing Start/Pause (Hold to Start). If this happens, follow one of these actions:

  • Press the Add Door button to close it properly. Then, press and hold the Start/Pause button (Hold to Start) and try again.
  • To add clothes, open the Add Door and place the missing items inside. Close the Add Door properly. Then, press and hold the Start/Pause button (Hold to Start) to resume the operation.

SUD (Issue: Excessive foam in the machine.)

  • Remove the excess foam.

U (Issue: Pot detection error on induction ranges.)

The error code or highlighted symbol represents a pot on a surface, indicating a pot detection issue, which only appears on induction ranges.

If the cookware is not suitable due to size, material, or placement on the element, an error code will appear, and the pot will not heat. If the issue is not resolved, the element will turn off after 1 minute.

tESt or tE5t (Issue: The range is in demonstration mode.)

The oven and range will not heat (gas ranges will still ignite). Please refer to the user manual for the proper steps to deactivate the demonstration mode for your model.

-dE- or -dC- (Issue: Cooking before inserting the partition.)

If you started cooking before inserting the partition, this error code will appear. Please refer to the user manual to check which cooking modes are compatible with the Twin mode.

The partition is not correctly installed.

If the partition is in the oven, remove it and reinstall it correctly, ensuring that it is fully inserted. Each side of the partition should be in the third position from the top (for electric and dual-fuel models) or in the fourth position from the top (for gas models).

If the partition is not in the oven, check that nothing is pressing against the partition switch at the back of the oven.

bAd (Issue: The power connection is not plugged in correctly.)

Reconnect the power and ensure that it is properly connected. Please refer to the installation manual or consult a professional installer.

CtoP (Issue: Try the self-cleaning function.)

Since the range cannot be in use while the self-cleaning function is running, this error alerts that one or more burners or elements are in use. Turn off all burners or elements, and then you will be able to run the self-cleaning function.

C-24 (Issue: The temperature sensor has detected that the oven temperature is rising more than usual.)

This is usually caused by a blocked or partially blocked vent (located at the back of the range).

  • If the vent is blocked by something, such as a pan, remove it.
  •  While cooking, you can resolve the error by opening and closing the door several times for about 3 seconds each time. This allows hot air to be released and force some of the vent to clear.
  • You can also turn off the oven and leave the door open for 1 minute to allow it to cool down.

door (Issue: The door is not closed.)

If this code appears even when the door is closed:

  • Check the door plunger switch. It is a round black plastic cover with a pin sticking out about ¾" when the door is open. It should move freely when pressed with a finger. If the plunger switch does not extend when the door is open, or if it is stiff and cannot be moved with a finger, please visit our Support Center for service.
  • Make sure the door is completely closed. If it isn’t, refer to our troubleshooting guide for more information. If the code continues to appear when the door is closed, please visit our Support Center for service.
