What is a Bunkie Board?
EIt is a piece (wooden board) that can be placed under your mattress and in recent years it has become a very popular alternative.
- They are generally around 2" thick.
- They are engineered wood (constructed from a variety of strong woods for a strong frame).
- Provides additional support for the mattress without increasing the height of the bed.
- They are designed to fit into slats (the pieces of wood on the bed frame that extend vertically to support the mattress and its base).
Basic History
Bunkie Boards are traditionally made from a type of plywood and then covered with a layer of fabric. They are usually very resistant and offer a bed platform that takes up less space.

Coming in various sizes makes its use very frequent and easy to access.

Furniture:
- Furniture is placed and installed in the space designated by the customer, as long as the area is empty.
- If the space is not available, the driver will leave the verified merchandise inside the customer’s home.
- For motorized furniture, connection, programming, and testing are performed to ensure proper functionality.
Important:
- DIY furniture (customer-assembled): Not installed. The driver and customer will verify together that the items are in good condition.
- Furniture requiring complex installation: A special service must be coordinated in advance.
Appliances:
- Placed in the space indicated by the customer.
- The driver and customer will verify together that the items are in optimal condition.
- Recommendation: Make sure to measure doors, stairways, and hallways to ensure a smooth delivery.
Special Considerations:
- Ice Maker Kit: The driver does not install it. If purchased in-store, contact the Service Department to coordinate installation before delivery.
- Door swing change for “Top Mount” refrigerators: Must be requested at the time of purchase. The driver is not authorized to make this change at home or to remove doors to facilitate access.
Stoves and Dryers:
- Electric: Old power cords are not reused.
- Gas: Our staff is not authorized to connect the appliance to the gas tank. The customer must coordinate this service with their gas provider.
TV’s:
- Connected only to verify that they power on correctly and that the screen is in good condition.
- No setup of antenna, internet, or other services is performed.
