What's Covered

  • Accidental stains, including bodily fluids, pets, and dye transfer.
  • Accidental water or beverage rings and marks.
  • Accidental breaks, tears, burns, and scorch marks.
  • Scratches that penetrate wood, metal, or other hard surface finishes.
  • Accidental chipping or breakage of glass or mirrors.
  • Peeling laminate or cracked finishes.
  • Motor and component failure (after the manufacturer’s warranty expires).
  • Sun fading on wood furniture.

What's Not Covered

  • General soiling or accumulated stains with no claim.
  • Odors or incontinence.
  • Damage from mold, acids, rust, or corrosion.
  • Damage from animals or birds (teeth, beaks, claws).
  • Items sold “as is,” used, or floor samples.
  • Damage during moving or transportation.
  • Massage chairs.
  • High voltage or power surges.
  • Wear and tear of foam or upholstery.
  • Discoloration from normal use or improper cleaning.
  • Peeling on leather, vinyl, or synthetic materials.
  • Damage from neglect, theft, riots, or natural disasters.

Some facts about the 5-Year Peace of Mind Program (ProtectAll)

  1. This is a 5-year accidental protection program, not a cleaning service.
  2. It does not cover lifestyle-related incidents, such as: (1) buildup of body or hair oils, (2) Repetitive damage (e.g., repeatedly reclining against a wall).
  3. For stains: blot immediately and contact ProtectAll. The incident must be reported within 30 days.
  4. Abuse, misuse, or accumulated damage is not covered.
  5. Bed base coverage is an extended warranty for 5 or 10 years.
  6. Service is provided by ProtectAll from GBS Enterprises.
  7. Available exclusively with furniture purchases in our stores.

Additional Information

  1. GBS was established in 1988.
  2. The Peace of Mind program is underwritten by an "A" rated U.S. insurer.
  3. Our Call Center offers industry-leading response times and under 1% call abandonment rate.
  4. Customer service reps are continuously trained to provide excellent support.
  5. Customers have 30 days from discovery to report incidents.
  6. Customers are eligible for multiple services during the 5-year period, and one replacement.
  7. This is not a cleaning contract. Contact GBS for a recommended local upholstery cleaner.
  8. Claim denial is most often caused by backlog. Customers must report each incident promptly.
